    Description

    The envelope
    is from the 10th Congress of the Association of Space Explorers (ASE) taken place in Russia in 1994. The 10th Congress theme session on “Space and Ecology” was divided into two halves – the first in Moscow and the second in the city of Ulan-Ude. On August 12 the delegations flew to the shores of Lake Baikal in Siberia to continue their work. Two Russian Air Force Tupolev-154 aircraft with the delegates landed at the airport of the city of Irkutsk. The official special post cancellation devoted to the Congress took place in Irkutsk. The cover was postmarked with that postmark in Irkutsk.
    The envelope was hand signed by 14 astronauts / cosmonauts, including German TITOV, Aleksey LEONOV, Scott CARPENTER, Valentina TERESHKOVA, and other famous Space Explorers. Autograph’s identifier is included (as on the photo).
