This is the first encyclopedic work
on the history and theory of jet propulsion and astronautics. It tells in detail about the first attempts to fly into interstellar space among various nations and how to conquer it. These are fantastic works, and the works of scientists who tried to create airships for flight: the guns Jules Verne, M. Valiers, Fora and Graffigny, the Zhulavsky projectile, throwing machines, lunar bombs, the interplanetary ships of K. Lasvits, etc. It is told about "Radiant energy in the fantasies of novelists."
Such extensive material on the first projects of attempts to fly into outer space is not available in the world in a rare printed publication.
Nikolay Alekseyevich Rynin
is an outstanding Soviet scientist in the field of aeronautics, aviation and cosmonautics, one of the domestic initiators and popularizers of aeronautics and cosmonautics. Inspired by the ideas of Tsiolkovsky, Rinin already in 1928 at the Institute of Railway Engineers organized an interplanetary communications section in Leningrad and was elected its chairman.
The main work of his life - "Interplanetary communications" - lined up for four years: from 1928 to 1932. During this time, 9 issues of “Interplanetary Communications” have been published, covering literally all issues related to astronautics, from mythology to specific rocket designs. His books are interesting today, because they are ahead of their time by many decades.

- выдающийся советский ученый в области воздухоплавания, авиации и космонавтики, один из отечественных начинателей и популяризаторов воздухоплавания и космонавтики. Увлекшись идеями Циолковского, Рынин уже в 1928 году в Институте инженеров путей сообщения организовал в Ленинграде секцию межпланетных сообщений и избирается ее председателем.
Главный труд его жизни - «Межпланетные сообщения» - выстраивался в течение четырех лет: с 1928 по 1932. За это время вышло 9 выпусков «Межпланетных сообщений», охватывающих буквально все вопросы, связанные с космонавтикой, - от мифологии до конкретных конструкций ракет. Книги его интересны и сегодня, ибо опередили свое время на много десятилетий.
