1962 UPI Press Photo Russian Child Holding Cosmonaut Doll Toy Astronaut Jan 1962

This auction is for an original UPI Press photo which was sent to magazines and newspapers on January 22, 1962. The photo shows a shows a Soviet child holding a cosmonaut doll which has a nice CCCP space suit with antenna. The photo with the title "Well-Suited to the Occasion" and mentions "...This Soviet youngster might well be planning a space trip himself. He's hugging his latest toy, an astronaut doll." The photo measures 7" x 9" + a paper press caption attached to the back of the photo. The photo is in good condition - there is a 4" light vertical crease on the bottom half of the photo - there is a light 1" crease on the boy's face - there are a few light horizontal lines across the top half of the photo (most visible if held at an angle in the light) - there are a few smaller creases/marks. A NICE PIECE OF SPACE RACE / COSMONAUT / TOY MEMORABILIA! Postage is .50.
