CASE (23 BOXES) OF WOODEN MATCHES W/RUSSIAN-CCCP-USSR COSMONAUTS & MILITARY MEN

Description

This auction includes one nearly full box/case of vintage wooden matches. The case originally had twenty-five boxes, but there's twenty-three now, so two are missing. Pictured on the boxes are USSR / CCCP /Russian cosmonauts, military men (who may also be cosmonauts), and Russian statues, buildings & monuments (zoom or enlarge any of the photos for a closer look). The strikers on the boxes do not look like they've been used, but the strikers & boxes do have some age discoloration. The boxes all have lots of matches in them, but I don't know if any matches are missing (the boxes all appear to be full, but I can't be 100% sure of that). The 6 1/2" wide x 9 1/4" long x 1 3/4" deep cardboard case/box is intact with no repairs, but it does have edge & corner wear, small tears, stains and age discoloration. The colors on the case label (and individual box labels) are still bright & vivid. There's a paper label on the underside of the case, but not being able to read Russian, I don't know what it says (see last photo). USPS boxed retail ground shipping will be .00 in the U.S.
