This new amphora was hand made and painted by Sofia Gkani of SJS Designs, based on a Museum antiquity

Depicting a scene of a ceremony and decorated from top to bottom with the meander. This beautiful vessel was made as a celebration of life.
This is one of the most decorated vessels of this era and the geometric design is the first intimation of the ancient Greek artists' disposition of complex patterns and images.
This is a scaled down replica of the antiquity which stands at approx.155cm (61inches) and attributed to the Dipylon workshop of ancient Athens.
This amphora is approx.: 50cm (19 inches) tall.
26cm (10.2 inches) wide.
The amphora is a scaled down masterpiece of the original vessels.
For over 26 years Sofia Gkani has been painting and reproducing the antiquities once used in the everday life of the ancient Greeks. All her works of Art are signed and numbered.
