    Description

    Engine number 0701079 is a 1600 S (Type 616/12 T6), part of range 0700501 to 0701116.
    This engine was originally fitted to a car as follows:
    1963 (built 1963) T6 B cabriolet (Reutter) with a serial number between 157769 and 158700.
    1963 (built 1963) T6 B coupe (Reutter) with a serial number between 123043 and 125246.
    1963 (built 1963) T6 B coupe (Karmann) with a serial number between 212172 and 214400.
    This case is in excellent condition, standard main bearing journals and all three pieces are matching numbered parts.
    It has been tumbled clean to retain the original factory finish, not sand or bead blasted which alters the stock finish.  Although it looks amazing, it should be "finish cleaned" prior to assembly because of storage and shipping debris.
