"..Космический корабль с Ю.А.Гагариным весом 4725 кг без последней ступени ракеты-носителя был выведен на орбиту вокруг Земли на высоте от 181 до 327 км.Вывод корабля на орбиты был осуществлен многоступенчатой ракетой-носителем с шестью двигателями 1-й ступени общей мощностью 20 000 000 лошадиных сил.Совершив один оборот вокруг Земли,корабль приземлился в точно заданном районе.Старт был дан в 9 часов 07 минут по московскому времени,в 9 часов 51 минуту была включена автоматическая система ориентации корабля,после чего в 10 часов 25 минут автоматически включился тормозной двигатель  и корабль перешел с орбиты спутника Земли на траекторию спуска.В 10 часов 55 минут корабль приземлился в заданном районе Саратовской области.С момента включения тормозной системы до момента спуска корабль прошел около 8 000 км,что заняло примерно 30 минут.При приземлении,на высоте около 7 км,кресло с космонавтом было катапультировано,и Ю.Гагарин приземлился на парашюте,хотя приземление космонавта могло быть осуществлено и в кабине корабля."
